Fun fact: This movie is a remake of a movie from 1970 the play originally premiered 1968 (I think) if you watch the Netflix version please watch the 1970 version too. The Boys in the hands. The film was a victim of timing. I do a little closer look at that here. I also think that a little more analysis could be added to how each of these characters were a rainbow flag of characters that created a variety of archetypes before they were stereotypes, with ranges of camp, femininity, and bitchiness. It's hardly stereotyping when there are such a variety of characters presented. P.S. There was a new dvd blu-ray release of the film made fairly recently (I think 2010? in the U.S. which has been retouched. I'm not sure where you are located or how you edit, but really good copies exist.

He's been where Michael still is, and survived it. Yes, he still hangs on to all of those Nembutols in his cabinet, but he doesn't use them. Hard to describe what a hopeful revelation he was to me the first time I saw this film.
